CALL FOR APPLICATION

Journalist Participants for Trilateral Teacher's Exchange Program (TTEP)
on Public Awareness – Environment and Sustainability


Tasked by the Ministry of Environment (ROK), Ministry of the Environment (Japan), and Ministry of Environmental Protection (China), The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) will hold the first Trilateral Teacher’s Exchange Program (TTEP) on Public Awareness on August 7-10, 2017 in the ROK. The theme of the 2017 program is Smart Eco-friendly Technologies towards an Environmentally Sustainable Society. The program will consist of discussion, site visit, and hands-on making sessions. Participants of the program include teachers, government officials who are working on environmental education, and journalists from China, Japan, and ROK. Speakers include subject matter experts from Seoul Metropolitan Government, civil organization, and business in ROK.

We are now opening the application to journalists from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean news agencies who is interested in joining the efforts of promoting environmental education and raising general public awareness. One newspaper journalist from each of the Chinese, Japanese and Korean news agency based in Seoul will be selected. Please consider the following and refer to the agenda attached before applying.


You are interested in:

3. Environmental education and raising public awareness in environment and sustainability

You will have the opportunity to:

1. Mingle with the participants to learn different environmental education status in each country
2. Meet subject matter experts
3. Share your observations and thoughts

After the program, you are kindly requested to:

Publish at least one news article about the program and the impact of the program on trilateral cooperation in environmental education and public awareness promotion


TCS will provide:

1. Chinese, Japanese, and Korean simultaneous interpretation
2. Welcome dinner, lunches, and activity related cost during the official schedule
